Our Expertise

Our NICU is headed by Dr. Sachin A. Shah, Chief Neonatologist, who brings more than 12 years of extensive experience in Neonatal Intensive Care. He is supported by a dedicated team of experienced Associate Neonatologists, Fellow Neonatologists, nurses, and trained paramedical staff.

Our team has specialized expertise in:

• Management of extremely low birth weight (ELBW) and very premature babies
• Care of critically ill and complicated newborns
• Intact survival of extremely premature babies
• High-frequency ventilation for critically ill neonates
• Advanced non-invasive ventilation with minimal morbidity
• Management of high-risk newborns requiring intensive monitoring and respiratory support
• In-utero transport for complicated pregnancies through coordination with high-risk obstetric care

Our NICU has achieved encouraging outcomes, including:

• More than 95% overall NICU survival
• Approximately 90% intact survival among 28-week, 1 kg premature babies
• More than 85% survival among complicated patients requiring ventilator support
