The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Anand Children Hospital is a 6-bedded, state-of-the-art Level III Pediatric ICU dedicated to providing advanced critical care for children with serious, complex, and life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.

Our PICU provides round-the-clock availability of Consultant Pediatric Intensivists, supported by an experienced team of pediatricians and specially trained paramedical staff. With advanced technology, continuous monitoring, and a multidisciplinary approach, we provide timely and specialized care to critically ill children.

Expert Pediatric Critical Care Team

The PICU is managed by Dr. Pratik Shah (DNB – Pediatrics, Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care), along with a dedicated team of experienced pediatricians, trained nurses, paramedics, and pediatric super-specialists.

Our team works continuously to ensure that critically ill children receive individualized treatment, close monitoring, and rapid intervention whenever required.

Comprehensive Critical Care

At Anand Children Hospital, our PICU is equipped to manage various medical and surgical critical cases, including children requiring intensive respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and multi-system support.

Our hospital's in-house Operation Theatre enables timely management of pediatric surgical cases requiring intensive care before and after surgery.

For complex conditions, Pediatric Super Specialists are available to support the PICU team and provide specialized consultation and treatment whenever required.

24/7 Pediatric Intensivist Support

Critically ill children can require immediate medical decisions at any time. Our PICU therefore provides 24-hour availability of Consultant Pediatric Intensivists, ensuring that expert critical care support is available whenever it is needed.
